We will begin services with a candlelight vigil of peace and hope. We will honor and bless those who died, were injured and all who are affected by the killings in Pittsburgh.
"When Words Turn Into Bullets" On the first Saturday in November 1995, in response to months of intimidation and threats of violence against Prime Minister Yizhak Rabin, tens of thousands of Israelis gathered in Tel Aviv's central square in support of the government's peace plan. Reb Michael was one of them. At the end of the rally, an Israeli Jew fired three rapid shots at Yizhak Rabin, killing him. Reb Michael will speak about lessons for our times and in relation to this week's Torah portion Chayei Sarah.
This Shabbat's Oneg is hosted by Jaqi Green.
