Al shlosha devarim...

Pirkei Avot ("Ethics of the Ancestors") teaches that the world depends on just three things (shlosha devarim):  Torah learned and lived, worship of God from the heart, and acts of holy kindness.  One of those acts of kindness, one that has sustained the Jewish community for the last three millennia, is generous giving from the heart.  Whatever you can donate helps us grow and thrive!   

FOUR ways you can help Makom... 

1)  make a donation

There's a DONATE button on the right. Click on it, and you will be taken to a PayPal page that will securely accept your donation.  You can enter a note about your donation if desired. You do NOT have to have a PayPal account and can use a credit card. You can also fill out the form at right and we will contact you. Makom Shalom is a 501(c)3 religious congregation. Your donations are tax deductible.

2) BECOME A MEMBER

Members are the heart and soul of our community -- and we would love to have your spirit at Makom.  Learn more about reasons to become a member and get your membership dues form on the "Become a Member!" page at this link. Or drop us a note using the form at the right. 

3) Shop at Amazon Smile… Makom benefits!

Go to https://smile.amazon.com. Select Makom Shalom as the charity of your choice. (Do not select Makom the Community… it’s in Pennsylvania!) You’ll get an email from Amazon confirming your choice. Amazon will remind you to shop from your Amazon Smile page! Makom Shalom will be listed as your selected charity in the upper left under the Search box. Shop as usual and 0.5% of eligible purchases go to Makom Shalom!

4) Create a Facebook Fundraiser

Have a special birthday, anniversary? Ask your Facebook friends to support your favorite synagogue in your name. Download the instructions here to create a fundraiser and be amazed! When people care about you, they care about what you care about!
